Class Description
The purpose of this class is to perform professional administrative work supporting a functional area within assigned College department or function.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; Computer literacy; a minimum of three years of financial aid or related experience in a higher education or comparable setting; such as Finance, Registrar or Advising background in an educational setting; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Provide leadership to assigned College division and/or function.
- Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.
- Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.
- Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.
- Develop policies and procedures, as required.
- Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
- Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.
Position Specific Essential Duties
- Advise students and parents regarding the availability of financial aid, eligibility requirements, and the application and awarding process.
- Review financial aid eligible students who meet the requirements for various funding sources to support the collegewide Tuition Free campaign.
- Assist the Director of Grants & Scholarship Compliance with the awarding of federal, state and institutional awards.
- Coordinate communication and outreach efforts to scholarship and grant applicants, and recipients.
- Advise CCBC students about the availability of and requirements for various CCBC and external grant & scholarship programs.
- Present financial aid information at various events for students, parents, faculty and staff.
