The Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting large Scripps social media initiatives, digital campaigns, projects and programs. The Social Media Specialist implements tactics that drive Scripps' engagement, nurturing and growth of its social media community as well as driving lead generation and conversion. Supports reputation management. Educates, guides and collaborates with department stakeholders to effectively leverage social media and digital marketing as part of marketing and communication plans.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or related field or 1+ years of professional experience in executing web, digital or social media initiatives and paid campaigns.
- Experience with prevalent social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Working knowledge of analytics tools and in measuring ROI of organic social. Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and understanding of digital production processes.
- Experience in digital content creation.
- Working knowledge of reputation management best practices, including social media communities and review responses
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Experience with video editing in social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Adobe Premiere and iMovie experience.
- YouTube and Podcast experience.
- Exceptional research and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to a consumer audience.
- Organized with strong attention to details.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Experience or interest in health care.
- Passionate about social media and digital marketing.
- Familiarity with website development; content management systems; user interface and information architecture, graphic design and layout; branding, SEM and digital advertising.
