Oceaneering International Inc. Oceaneering Technologies (OII-OTECH) supports the US Navy's submarine rescue mission through the Submarine Rescue Operations and Maintenance Contract (SROMC). Oceaneering partners with the Navy's Undersea Rescue Command (URC) to provide 24/7 world-wide submarine rescue capability to US, allied and other foreign navy requests to assist disabled submarines (DISSUB) or submersible intervention and rescue. OII-OTECH is seeking a Training and Qualification Specialist who will coordinate and schedule operational and maintenance training for OTECH staff associated with the SROMC. This specialist will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with the staff of URC to establish and enforce submarine rescue system Quality Assurance and maintenance procedures as well as operational and safety standards. The position will also monitor and report all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) to ensure compliance with government and Oceaneering standards. Base pay rate for this position is $45.00 to $50.00
ESSENTIAL
* Assist the Operations Manager in the organization, training, and certification of sufficient OTECH teams to operate all submarine rescue systems and supporting equipment to sustain at sea operations and in port maintenance.
* Assist the HSE Specialist in organizing, tracking, and training safety related topics (Weight Handling, Hazmat, Safety, etc.) and certifications to prevent personnel injury and equipment damage.
* Provide the resources and technical expertise for managers, supervisors, and employees in the areas of system design, maintenance, and operations.
* Coordinate across SROMC cross-functional areas, Oceaneering corporate and divisions, the US Navy (Undersea Rescue Command) and outside organizations to provide training resources to the SROMC team.
* Generate lesson plans, assign, and facilitate training lectures, seminars, and walk-throughs.
* Generate and/or review training lectures ensuring applicability and accuracy.
* Assist the Operations Manager in generating training and post-operations reports.
* Assist the Operations Manager in Load Planning to include transportation configurations (i.e., aircraft, ground transportation) and system mobilization.
* Supervise operations ensuring safety compliance to prevent personnel injury and equipment damage.
* Specific duties include case management, establishing and maintaining employee training and qualification programs, audits, and related programs.
* Coordinate with OTECH to incorporate SROMC training into OII's Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) and/or SUMTOTAL.
* Coordinate with various schoolhouses and curriculum, scheduling courses for SROMC personnel (Load Planning, Hydraulics, ROV, etc.).
* Generate comprehensive training reports (SUMTOTAL, SROMC Specific, Operations, etc.) and disseminate to functional managers for tracking and action.
* Coordinate with OII to certify as a "Train-the-trainer" in areas of rigging, fall protection, forklift, safety, etc.
* Additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager.
REQUIRED
* Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering related field. Commensurate experience will be considered.
* 5+ years' experience.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
* Extensive travel and an ability to work away from home for periods up to 45 days.
* Current U.S. passport.
* U.S. Citizenship is required.
* A current SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
DESIRED
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
* Working knowledge of DSS-SOC requirements.
* Working knowledge of American Bureau of Shipping rules and/or other classification society rules.
* Working knowledge of NAVSEA certification programs for both Deep Submergence Systems and Diving & Manned Hyperbaric Systems.
