ANTICIPATED START DATE: June, 2025

FUNDING: Position is funded until June 30, 2026 through a memorandum of agreement with our partners but may continue if the agreement is extended if additional funds become available.

BARGAINING UNIT: MEA Administrator Level III

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $45,914.99 - $59,908.69

DESCRIPTION:
The Simulation Lab Support Specialist provides a supporting role in enhancing student learning, through operation of sophisticated high-fidelity mannequins and audio-visual and computer equipment. The Simulation Support Specialist will collaborate with the simulation lab specialist manager and health science program faculty to coordinate a broad range of medical simulations for varied health care disciplines. The Simulation Lab Specialist will complete work responsibilities at the South Portland and Brunswick campuses. The Simulation Lab Specialist will provide support during daytime and evening hours. Duties include working collaboratively with Health Science faculty and community users to ensure high quality simulation activities are completed in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in simulation activities as needed (70%)

Manage high fidelity simulators, peripheral audio visual/computer equipment, and ensure simulations labs in good working condition (25%)

Collaborate in the day-to-day operations of the simulation labs scheduling, maintaining, ordering supplies, participate in simulation learning activities, attend department, simulation advisory committee meetings as needed (5%)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or related education and professional simulation experience working with high and low fidelity patient simulators.

A six-year combination of education and experience may be substituted, however, at least two years of experience providing simulation support is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree or related education and professional simulation experience in a related field: CHSE, CHSOS, or equivalent certification
