POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
NURSING INSTRUCTOR
FRONTIER COMMUNITY COLLEGE/FAIRFIELD, IL
DESCRIPTION: The position is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment with opportunity for summer assignment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching assigned theory and clinical courses utilizing active learning strategies and current educational technology; develop clinical experiences for students; serve as liaison between clinical instructors, agency staff, and students; supervise clinical practicum; evaluate and counsel students; evaluate clinical aspects of program; and participate in assessment activities and online teaching. Local travel to healthcare and other related sites is required. The ADN Program is ACEN accredited and is offered at four sites.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Nursing; an active, unencumbered Illinois and Indiana RN license, and two years of clinical experience required; teaching experience preferred. Applicants should be familiar with and able to use computer-assisted, multi-media instruction, and innovative teaching techniques in the classroom. Must have excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable working with a diverse population; and have the ability to make decisions in accordance with policies, rules and regulations.
